Although I’m still out of town for Thanksgiving, I’ve been lucky enough to have good wi-fi. I’ve been able to finish up some half-done downloads. This posts reviews the Hot Chocolate Categories download and the Hot Chocolate Phonological Awareness download, plus includes a FREEBIE to accompany them! All in time for the big Cyber Monday Sale! Hot Chocolate Categories Students can sort marshmallows onto coffee mugs in the correct categories. 16 pages: 60 marshmallow cards, 21 mugs, 8 special cards Blank sheets for each are included. Check it out in my TPT shop. Hot Chocolate Phonological Awareness: 21 pages: 3 activity sets. The rhyming activity includes 24 marshmallow cards, to sort onto 6 mugs. Use the homework sheet to reinforce skills as homework. The segmenting/blending syllables game includes 32 marshmallow cards and mug student mats. Place all the marshmallow cards face up to start the game. To work on segmenting, the SLP says a word ie: ‘airplane’, and the child names the parts: ‘air-plane’. The work on blending, the SLP says the parts ie: ‘base-ball’, and the student blends them and names the full word. ‘baseball.’ The segmenting/blending phonemes game includes 32 marshmallow cards and mug student mats. 16 cards are CV and VC. 16 cards are CVC. Place all the marshmallow cards face up to start the game. To work on segmenting, the SLP says a word ie: ‘cat’, and the child names the parts: ie: ‘c-a-t’. To work on blending, the SLP says the parts ie: ‘p-i’, and the student blends them and names the full word ie: ‘pie.’ There are blanks included to customize the game as needed.
