It’s FRIED FRIDAY. As in, my brain is totally fried. Our progress reports were due this week. I’m guessing yours were due sometime this month too. Squeezing that into the evenings always wears me out! With conferences every night next week, I’m thinking I need to sleep all day Sunday to make it through! But I wanted to participate in Jenn’s linky party. This isn’t a new one, it’s an idea I shared back in April. It even ended up in the ASHA Leader! Follow the link to read more. The general premise is to start your next session by giving each of your students 3 magical gold coins. Really 3 of anything will work (bingo chips, pictures, pennies, etc.) but I took this picture during March and had these coins on hand! The goal, is the for the student to keep all of their coins across the session. In this session, my student was reading cards while I listened for good /r/ sounds. If the student says a word with an /r/ produced incorrectly and didn’t self-correct, I took a coin. Head back to the original post and read more! Happy carryover! Head over to Jenn’s blog to read the rest of the ideas!
