Happy Holidays! Every year, I make a list of gifts that fellow like-minded SLPs might enjoy! Finding gifts for family can be hard, but the lovely SLP in your life deserves the best! She might enjoy something from this list! SLPs are a wonderful bunch but we can be hard to buy for sometimes! I’ve included 24 gifts that your favorite SLP might be able to use at work. Affiliate links included below to link you straight to the sources!
Last Christmas, I got a big surprise under the tree! Now, I’m lost if I forget my apple watch on in the morning. I love that it sets alarms for me,vibrates when I’m supposed to head to a meeting, records speech samples, and let’s me stay connected even during busy therapy days. Grab your iWatch generation 3.
Speaking of my apple watch, if you already have one, check out that adorable watch band I got from Casetify. It’s watercolor and bright and I’m in love! You can use my referral code to save $10 on a purchase here. Grab the watercolor watch band here.
Support of a local business that employs young adults with special needs. In central Ohio, my co-workers quit their jobs to open Pathways to Independence of Central Ohio. It’s a vocational support/coaching nonprofit. They are also using a doggy daycare to employ young adults and do on the job training. Cooper LOVES attending and I love giving my money to a good cause. Find one local to your area and purchase a gift card!
An iPad is becoming more and more affordable now that minis exist! If you still don’t have an iPad for therapy, I highly suggest adding it to your wish list. You can get a refurbished iPad mini for about $200.
I’m not usually into the “lips” themed shoes, clothes, etc. for SLPs because I feel like they’re usually “sexy” lips and that’s pretty much the opposite of our jobs! I saw this phone case from Casetify, and I love it because it looks like half of my caseload trying to find their alveolar ridge. You can use my referral link to purchase and save $10. Case found here. I got an iPhone X case from this company and it’s holding up great!
I’ve shared these before, but I can’t help but LOVE these sticky notes! Every SLP needs open mouth sticky notes.
Have you tried a Google Home yet? We got one last Christmas and it’s convenient! I love telling it what to do.
Meredith over at Peachie Speechie has so much adorable SLP gear. This SLP shirt would be perfect for your holiday work party!
I love these mantra band bracelets. A simple reminder of how much your SLP means to you!
Got updated family pictures this year? Grab this Kate Spade frame and give them some new desk beauty!
Ladies, I’ve been on the HUNT for the perfect pen. It took years. I started using it at school and now I can never find mine, because everyone else bought them too. Check out the Pentel Energel for the perfect stocking stuffer.
Finding the perfect work shoe is HARD. Since I work with high needs kids, I usually wear tennis shoes or flats. I love these black and white Nike tennis shoes.
I use music all the time in speech therapy. I usually have it playing from my phone so I love to use a Bose Bluetooth Speaker to make it loud enough for all to hear.
Spread the love this year with a You Matter t-shirt. My cousin started this company and to spread awareness and a portion of the proceeds benefit suicide prevention.
Dot/Bullet journaling is super popular right now! Have you tried it yet? Grab this one for $5.
I love my Erin Condren life planner. I just can’t go digital with my calendar yet. I’ve used an EC for about four years now and I can’t go back!
There is a lot of stress involved with being an SLP. What your fav SLP really wants is to sit back and work out those kinks! A gift card for some pampering is just what the doctor ordered.
The Kurig is nothing new, but if your favorite SLP doesn’t have one in her office, add it to the list pronto! I use mine daily!
Every SLP I know has a pile of books. Book ends or a shelf organizer are a great idea to spruce up the office!
I bought this 52 lists book last year! I love the guided prompts for journaling.
Throw it back to Speech Science class and record your child’s voice saying “I Love You” on this leather bracelet from Just Leather B on Etsy.
Every SLP I know carries a water bottle all day at work. This one is adorable from Swell.
Merry Christmas and Happy Shopping!
