Just a quick idea for getting your students up and moving. Many of my students are working on WH inferencing questions. In the craft store last week, I found these foam leaves for cheap. I wrote the answers to the WH questions on the leaves, and added magnets to the back of them. The Speech Room looked colorful with the language activity. My students love anything that doesn’t include sitting at a desk doing paper/pencil work! Hope this gets you thinking about getting your students up from the desk!

Love this idea!! I agree, getting the kids up and moving is so much more motivating and valuable, especially when the weather is cold outside and they are stuck inside so much!! I’m going to Pin this right now!

You must have a lot of language students who can read. Me…not so much. Even my 3rd grade language kids are nowhere near proficient.

We have trouble reading too. But if they can verbalize the answer, they we can usually figure out the first sound, and narrow things down from there! Thanks for commenting!

Where do you get your questions from? I am always looking for quick stories/questions to help get as many trials per students as possible. Shorter questions/stories also help keep their attention.
