Something about breakfast food just speaks to me. So much so, that I decided to purchase this super cute clip art and make some language games. I created Breakfast Synonyms, Antonyms, Similes and Homonyms. Great for your elementary aged student. The Breakfast Synonyms game is a FREEBIE! The game is played with these 8 styles of cards. Each with a word listed on the card. Students read the word and name one synonym. Each student is given a breakfast mat like the one shown above. As the student collects breakfast items they store them on this mat. The student who gets one of each card first is your winner! The game includes an answer sheet with suggested synonyms for play. You can grab your freebie here on my TPT store!! Enjoy! With the same breakfast concept I made these other great language games: The antonyms card game includes 48 cards, students mats, directions, title page, and answer key. Students name antonyms and collect breakfast food cards on their student mat to win the game. Find this download in my TPT store. The homonyms card game includes 48 cards, students mats, directions, title page, and answer key. The homonym cards focus on identifying multiple meanings for words, a skill that is very important for our language impaired students. Find this download in my TPT store. The similes card game includes 48 cards, students mats, directions, title page, and answer key. Each game card includes a simile which needs to be explained. Find this download in my TPT store. If you grab the freebie leave comment and tell a friend! What do you think?

Very cute! I’ve actually done a unit on different types of foods (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, etc.) because a lot of my students have extremely low vocabulary. I’m excited to use these games!

Thanks for another amazing freebie! One question… where is the student mat? It says it is on page 3 in the instructions, but I am not seeing it. Thanks!
