We’re crafting it up this week in the speech room. We adapted a Catch a Snowflake on Your Tongue writing activity from A Year of Many Firsts and made it work for Preschoolers working on phonology (and apraxia, language,…. you name it!)
To make your own Catching Snowflakes craft head over to A Year of Many Firsts and snag a template for the person. I drew a black circle and shoulders onto my head template and then copied them on flesh-colored paper. I cut out mouths, scarfs and teeth. All this will prep make the activity super simple for little bodies.
For the snowflakes I’m using the pieces from my Falling Flakes download from Teachers Pay Teachers.
I just printed them in black and white and the kids will cut them apart and add them to the ‘air’ as snowflakes.
I added a little poem to the top of the page (so parents know we made it at speech!)
That’s how we are Catching Phonology Flakes in speech this week! Are you going to try it out?! Link up on instagram with #speechroomnews if you try it!
