I think one of favorite things about having a blog is being able to support other fantastic and hard working SLPs! Kim Patterson is an SLP who authored some products for Super Duper. Her new product Silly Sets 2, is a great tool for preschool SLP bag. She interviewed me a few months ago for the EduBlog that her district created. You can read that here. Today, I’m going to give you the quick overview of her product Silly Sets 2.
Silly Sets 2 has 100 illustrated minimal pair picture cards to show children how changing one sound in a word can affect the meaning of an entire sentence – often with silly results! Silly Sets 2 targets five different phonological processes, including Gliding, Stridency Deletion, Initial Consonant Deletion, Prevocalic Voicing, and Postvocalic Devoicing.
My favorite thing about SS2 is that is covers those less frequent phonological processes. It’s a set of delays that there just aren’t as many products to cover. My favorite way to use them it to pair them with a season activity. This week that means pulling them out of an spring basket!
Purchase your Silly Sets 2 package on the Super Duper Website. Kim sent me a copy of these cards, which didn’t influence how awesome I think they are for therapy. She also wants to give a set away!
