Easy-To-Say First Words

Back at the beginning of summer, Cara Danielson, MA, CCC-SLP contacted me to review her new book for our early communicators.

Easy-To-Say First Words focuses on Final Consonants. The book is designed for both SLPs and parents. It features words and images that emphasize words that have one syllable simple final consonant sounds.

The book features a repetitive text that is similar to many books for toddlers. The difference is that the targets words have been specifically chosen with Final Consonant Deletion in mind!

I love the predictable text, carefully chosen target words, and adorable paper art illustration. This is a great item to have on your shelf to loan to parents. Books are often something that all parents feel confident in using. Homework that includes reading to their kids, feel easier than practicing new routines or finding target words at the dinner table.  I can’t wait to send this one home with parents!
