Although the Easter Bunny won’t be visiting school, we certainly are talking about spring animals, bunnies, eggs, seeds and more. So I’m sneaking some ‘egg-cellent’ articulation activities for my students.
I wanted an activity like egg-decorating that was do-able for therapy, cheap, and still hands on.
When I found these chalkboard eggs for $2 at Wal-Mart I knew it would be perfect! They even come with the chalk!
I grabbed my Easter Articulation Cards from my TpT shop (Later Sounds & Early Sounds) and used them with our eggs and Easter basket! Draw 12 pictures on the eggs from the articulation cards.
That’s it! My preschool littles followed this up this a egg hunt in the classroom! Then we described them to a friend giving positional concepts with our s-blends! Wipe clean with a wet paper towel and you’re ready for the next group! It was a total blast! What ideas do you have for chalkboard eggs?

I love these chalkboard eggs – how amazing! I wish I could find these here in Australia because they would be useful all year round, not just at Easter! Great find, thanks for sharing!

Those eggs are adorable! I picked some up tonight on my way home from work. I can’t wait to use them next week! I also grabbed some of the bendable bunnies. I’m thinking we can work on some spatial concepts with them since they will bend to fit just about anywhere. Thanks for the great idea! 🙂
