Summer is creeping up and I’m here to show you step-by-step how to utilize digital summer speech homework with help from the Boardmaker Student Center. Despite the year we’ve had, there are still a few silver linings to be found. Technology literacy has certainly improved for both our students and ourselves! As we look forward to the summer, the Boardmaker Student Center is a great option for low-prep summer homework to keep your students engaged during a few months of break. When your district purchases Boardmaker 7, you can create Student Center logins for each student on your caseload. This is how you will make digital summer speech homework.
Create a quick login and send the parent the QR code so they can login on whichever device the student has access to at home during the summer. Pre-load the login with several different pre-made activities found on the Boardmaker Activity Center and you’re set for hands-off homework!
To create a student, go to Manage Students and then click “add student.”
To assign an activity first add it to your library. Then click on the small icon of a person and assign it to your student. For my hypothetical student, I added five different /f/ articulation games that I found pre-made. It took just a few minutes to add the games.
Now, when he is ready to login to practice over the summer on his tablet or computer, there are pre-made activities ready to go. I can’t stress enough, the time saver that utilizing the pre-made activities available on Boardmaker 7 can be! You literally won’t have to print a thing!
