Pull out your phones and tablets. It’s another QR code activity! Spot the Snowflake is a QR code inferencing activity. Students will try to match clues to the correct snowflake. The snowflakes are have a busy winter. Students need to figure out which snowflake the clue is describing. Some snowflakes are having snacks, some are playing sports, and others are ready to play in the snow. Read
To play print either the QR code activity (pages 3-9) or the regular version (pages 10-16). If you print the QR code version use any QR code scanner on the phone or tablet. DO NOT PRINT BOTH SETS. I do print both to use them with different abled groups, but I don’t want you to waste ink and print both if you don’t need both!
To play, lay all the disguised dressed up snowflakes out on the table. The students should read the clues on the plain snowflake cards. The rhyme on the card should give the student enough clues to guess which snowflake to spot! On the QR code version, check the answer by scanning the QR code and checking the number on the dressed up snowflake.
I use the non-QR code version with lower functioning and younger student who can’t manipulate the technology or are distracted by it.
You can purchase Spot the Snowflake in my TpT Shop.
