There is this reoccurring nightmare I have, where I’m at school and I missed a kid that should have been on my caseload all year. I think it is the SLP equivalent of the “showing up naked” to work nightmare. With years of experience, my anxiety at work has decreased. I have the tools and experience to deal with most scenarios. It hasn’t always been like this. My clinical fellowship year was a real struggle. I had the BEST CF supervisor but I still always sort of felt like I was just fumbling along. Hi Jenna, this course looks wonderful! Do you think this would be a beneficial course for a speech implementer? I am supervising an implementer that has her teaching certification but does not have the undergrad or graduate coursework in communication disorders. I don’t want to overwhelm her but want to give her a good base before school begins.
Hi Ashley! I am not super familiar with what a Speech Implementer is? I’m not sure if it would be helpful. Two of the modules wouldn’t apply because they are specifically for CFs but the other course information could be helpful. Hi! I just have a few questions: 1) will be another course before the end of August, 2) are the module videos able to be re-watched if needed, and 3) are the materials included geared toward a certain age (my CF caseload includes k-12 kids)?
I was hoping that enrollment would stay open until the end of July, why did it close? I signed up for emails should it re-open. I would love to take this course before I start and during my first year!
The course and facebook group works best when people enter as a group! So enrollment is always only open for a limited time. Looking forward to having you start in the next round!
