I’m officially in the ‘two weeks of school left’ mode. You know… where the ‘to-do’ list outweighs the ‘#of days’ list. So we’re going with lots of play in our last few weeks.
I decided to buy a bag of sandbox sand and make another sensory tub. I made crab, shell, and starfish cards to ‘hide’ in the sand.
Then I raided my Polly Pocket tub. Polly had a slide, surfboard, swimming pool, and lounge chairs! She even had a Margarita but I didn’t want to have to explain that one.
Using a sand bucket works great too! We dug out our treasures and put them in the bucket. You can let those crabs get away you know!
If you want to add some articulation cards to your summer themed sensory tub check out this listing in my store! It has several commonly targeted sounds: Included targets: S-Blends & L-Blends (24 and 12 initial position) & K, G, F, L, S (12 initial and 12 final positions). Also included: 12 blank cards. (156 sound cards + 12 blank cards).
At least sticking your fingers in the sand will put a smile on your face until summer break!
