This week when I’ve had 5 extra minutes during a speech therapy session, I’m using an app called Henry’s Headlamp Winter edition.
Henry’s Winter Headlamp is a seek-and-find game designed for preschoolers that works for many levels of cognition.
To play, help Henry use his magic headlamp by moving the spotlight on the screen to uncover all of the winter objects that are hiding in the darkness. Try to find all of the characters and objects in the shortest amount of time, or try to beat your own time.
There are different vocabulary words related to winter. It’s such a simple app but the kids really love and I can get a lot of language out of them when we play.
You can download the app for .99 in the iTunes store.

Thanks for sharing. my little kiddos love playing on the iPad at the end of the session. I will definitely check this one out.
Hi Jenna! iTunes is saying this app is no longer available. It’s the app you recommend for the core word “look” in your WOW set. I was wondering if you have any other apps you like for targeting “look” with preschoolers? Thanks! 🙂
This app looked so cure and I was ready to use it next week with my kiddos as part of your core ‘look’ packet. Do you have other Recommendations???
This app is no longer available on iTunes 🙁
