One of the hardest things about switching between settings, even within a school district, is figuring out the little tricks that make a job easier. Preschool is no exception and has its own challenges and difficulties.
Earlier this month I had the honor to be involved in the SLP Summit. I’m sure you heard, but SLP Summit was two weeks of awesome free CEUs. There were nightly webinars with replays available until 2/14/17. You’ve still got a little time to check out the replays and earn up to 9 free CEUs. IF you already watched make sure you download your certificates before the 14th when they disappear!
My session focused on setting the environment for success! You can watch the replay here although if you’re watching it on YouTube or Speech Room News, you will not be watching to earn CEU hours. You only earn those if you watch it through SLP Summit. The thing is, the Summit ends soon, and I want you to be able to access this information forever on my blog! So I’m re-sharing it here!
The replay doesn’t include the simultaneous live chat happening. To read through the chat download this file.
Special thanks to the ladies from SLP Now and SLP Toolkit for holding the SLP Summit! It was a ton of work and we thank you!

Very glad for the SLP Summit – looking forward to the next one!
This was an AMAZING presentation!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!
I’m getting ready to teach the summer school program in a few weeks and this was definitely helpful!! Thank you!!
Starting pre-k in the fall and this is exactly what I was looking for–thank you!!
Looking forward to shopping for resources now.
But one big request: I love and covet your Speech Schedule–and it would take me so long to figure out how to make it myself.
Will you please consider making it available in your store? I’m sure I’m not the only one who would be thrilled!
Great video! I really enjoyed it. To every parent with a child in pre-k, kudos to us all for doing our part to ensuring our children have a successful year!
