Late June? Already?! Summer is slipping away and my to-do list isn’t getting any shorter! Luckily, this week inspiration hit and I got to work on that big list.
I’ve been wanted to make speech sound posters for a while and they are finally ready! The idea behind the posters so to create visual supports that can be used to reduce the number of SLP prompts needed and increase independence in students.
I made posters for 20 different sounds. They are each a half-sheet of paper. {I know how small those speech offices are!!!}
Each poster features a drawing of the mouth position. The nasal sounds include a nose icon. Voiced sounds are shown with a green sound button and voiceless sounds have a red sound button. Stopped consonants have an arrow with a line while a continuant sound has an arrow all the way across the page.
I wanted to update my artic cards to include the images too. This will be perfect for my preschoolers.
In the bottom left corner of every page you’ll see the target sound visual.
This download includes 65 pages of articulation cards. It includes 516 articulation cards. Laminate all cards. Use the visual cues in the bottom corner to increase student independence. It will allow your student to visualize the mouth position for each sound.
The following sounds are included with 8 cards in the initial, medial, and final positions for a total of 24 cards for each sound.
P, B, M, N, T, D, S, Z, F, V, L, K, G, J, SH, CH, TH
The following sounds are included with 8 cards for each sounds:
R, ER, AIR, AR, OR, EAR, IRE
The following blends are included in the initial position:
28 S-Blend cards and 24 L-Blend cards. The blend cards have both consonant sound visual cues.
Covers for each sound set are also included. Use a fastener to connect the cover to all the cards for that sound.
Grab the Articulation Cards with Visual Prompts and the Speech Sound Posters in my TpT shop.
Pro-Tip? Buy today. Print tomorrow and laminate over the summer while you’re watching movies or Netflix. Then when school starts you’ll be prepped and ready to go!
